Those like you Neil, who are trying to improve their lives and grow their companies, have the clearest view of this problem. It’s not those who are playing in the stock or commodities markets, but those are making “active” use of their money everyday. When there is less and less left over at the end of the week, if you don’t have a rich uncle you may be out of luck.

Thanks Mitch. It’s size, certainly, but also mission. Banks stopped lending money to small business owners when they learned they could make far more money buying and selling speculative financial products (i.e. gambling).

I think the financial system will never be worthy of trust while any institution is too big to fail. Heads I win, tails you bail me out: that’s not capitalism, it’s extortion.
